The main idea of the company is to bring back to life the lost art of the original manufacturing of handmade encaustic cement tiles in Spain.
We were able to acquire, reverse engineer, and preserve the ancient technique, with the history and technology remained, the original artisan craft of cement tile making.
A bespoke finished product was born when we used the available originals molds and technology in production, developing a unique composition of encaustic cement tiles.
Each tile is a unique work of art
The ancient manufacturing process of the encaustic cement tiles, and the molds that make it, is handmade. The tools we use in the production are original or hight quality revers-engineered reproductions, of those used in their time for the manufacture of these unique pieces.
We are preeminently positioned to provide a series of values that mark our personalised, professional and exclusive attention to each of our client. Among them, our special service is to create your own design, whether it is to match the existing elements in the interior, recreate the pattern design by the photo, or a family coat of arms, for example.
Our current palette has 16 base pigments, and we are able to add and produce custom colours, tones and subtleties, to custom-match the color palette of your space, whether the tiles go on the walls, the floor, or inlaid and integrated to the furniture of the existing decor. Each color has its own recipe, it is obtained by hand, using natural pigments.

Maximum quality
At MFsurfaces, each cement tile is 20×20 cm and has a thickness of 18 mm. This allows us to guarantee the quality and durability of the material.
